Grip strength is a huge weakness of all ectomorphs and to be honest, I’ve been fairly lazy in training it myself. Sure, doing pull ups will improve your grip strength, but your grip will still be a bottleneck until you train it independently.
This is where the Farmer’s Walk comes in.
How this exercise works is simple: you lift up two heavy things, one in each hand, and then you walk around. And that’s it. It sounds too simple, but after walking around for 10-20 seconds you’ll start to feel the muscles working in your fingers and forearm.
Start working in the Farmer’s Walk to your training routine, and consider using it as a simple, low-impact warm up technique. The better your grip is the easier you’ll find it to lift heavier weights.
