Are You an Ectomorph? Start a Blog!

by David on April 22, 2010

Over the past few months this blog has been a huge help in pushing me towards my muscle building goals, and while I still have a bit of a wait before I reach that one point where I’m completely satisfied, I couldn’t recommended blogging highly enough.

The main benefit, for sure, is that I can share my ideas and techniques for staying motivated, and when it’s time to do that I have ask myself: what are my ideas and techniques? I’m in a constant state of self-reflection as a result of having this small readership. There’s no other force as powerful to make you as conscious of your habits and progress than a bit of global accountability.

Plus, it’s a huge motivation in itself. When I’ve been in times of high energy and excitement I’ve written posts about persistence and how should you never give in, and it’s these beliefs, beliefs that I’ve shared with the world that pull me through times of doubt and those dang muscle building ruts. In that way, the blog is like a memory bank, but only full of memories stemming from a good place inside of me.

And that’s why you should start a blog. It doesn’t need to be fancy. You don’t need to be a great writer. You don’t really need to do anything in particular.

Just head over to WordPress.com and set something up (plus let me know about it by emailing me at david -at- ectomorphic.org). If you’re not sure what to talk about then start why you’re building muscle, your core beliefs, and perhaps your inevitability statement.
